Fanseat and the Champions Hockey league (CHL) have agreed media rights in France to show all games of the 2021-2022 season

FANSEAT and the Champions Hockey League (CHL), in partnership with Infront, have agreed a deal to broadcast all the 2021-2022 CHL games on FANSEAT, live and on demand in France.

For the first time, FANSEAT will show all the CHL games live and on demand in France on its OTT platform (www.fanseat.com), giving French ice hockey fans the opportunity to follow the top European ice hockey competition. The opening game of the CHL season takes place on 26 August 2021 between BK Mladá Boleslav (CZE) and Frölunda Gothenburg (SWE), but all focus will be on the French team, Dragons de Rouen, who play its first game against KAC Klagenfurt (AUT) on 3 September in Austria.

The entire CHL competition, with all 125 games of the group stage and playoffs, will be included in the “ALL Ice Hockey” subscription on FANSEAT for 12,99€/month, or available via a CHL tournament pass at 14,99€ or via pay per view at 4,99€/game, allowing fans to watch the games live in full and on demand at any time.

The new partnership was brokered by Infront, the exclusive media and marketing partner of the CHL, and makes FANSEAT the leading European ice hockey media: Broadcasting in excess of 2,000 ice hockey games each season live and on demand including, in addition to the CHL, the French ice hockey leagues (Synerglace Ligue Magnus, Division 1, Division 2, U20, U17), the Czech ice hockey league (Tipsport Extraliga) and the Latvian ice hockey league (Optibet Hokeja Liga).

Jean-Maël Gineste, Managing Director at FANSEAT said: “We are delighted to add the prestigious CHL onto FANSEAT’s portfolio of live ice hockey competitions to further grow our ice hockey offering to our fans. This agreement is another step into developing the FANSEAT ice hockey package to another level and continue to provide year on year more content to ice hockey fans in France and around the globe.”

Martin Baumann, CEO of the Champions Hockey League, said: “We are happy to be partnering with FANSEAT this season to further broaden our reach, giving even more fans access to all our games. This partnership embodies the passion of the CHL and Infront to expand the competition into new markets and continuously develop European ice hockey.”
