The new premier floorball league chooses Spring Media as its advisor
The clubs of The Association Swedish Super League (FSSL) – the entity representing the elite floorball clubs – have entered into partnership with international sports media agency, Spring Media, to advise on commercial rights for the planned new Swedish floorball top divisions for men and women.
In December, the Swedish Floorball Federation chose to end negotiations with the FSSL concerning media and commercial rights for the Swedish Super League (SSL). Consequently, the FSSL has decided to launch a new top league under its own control, with start date in Fall 2019.
The cooperation extends over a five-year period and comprises commercial advisory regarding media rights, broadcast production, and betting-related sponsorship rights.
“We are proud and motivated to initiate partnership with the FSSL clubs. Sweden’s elite clubs lead the international development and the sport is one of the nation’s most popular in terms of audience figures and number of registered players,” says Torsten Billing, Partner at Spring Media. “Our aim is to assist the clubs in its ambition to reinvigorate the league and support the commercial development so Sweden can remain in the forefront of international floorball.”
Spring Media will oversee profiling, current production and packaging of the new league, and thereafter initiate discussions with national as well as international stakeholders. The partnership derives from the agency’s overall growth strategy on the Swedish market. Recently a similar representational agreement was made with Swedish Elite Bandy for the Bandy League, and the agency has ongoing partnerships with OBOS Damallsvenskan and the Elite Series Speedway.
